1. Verify the File Source
• Are you uploading the DICOM file from a CD or directly from your computer?
• If the DICOM file is archived (e.g., in .zip or .rar), extract it first and attempt the upload again.
• If the file is already extracted, ensure you’re selecting the correct folder or file.
2. Test with a Different File
• Have you successfully uploaded other DICOM files or documents before?
• If yes, try uploading another DICOM file (or even a smaller file) to determine if the issue is specific to one file.
• If no, test with a standard medical document (e.g., PDF) to confirm the upload functionality works.
3. Browser Compatibility
• Ensure you’re using Google Chrome for the best experience.
• If you encounter an error, please share the browser you used during the upload.
4. File Size and Format
• Medicai does not impose file size or format limitations, but ensure that the DICOM file is intact and complete.
5. If the Issue Persists
If you have tried all the steps above and the upload still fails:
1. Send us the DICOM files – Use WeTransfer to share the content with us for further analysis.
2. Our technical team will review the files and provide feedback on the issue.
3. Instructions for WeTransfer:
• Go to wetransfer.com.
• Upload the DICOM files.
• Send the link to our support team.
From our experience, such issues typically arise due to the CD source, not the Medicai platform. While the platform is designed to handle images uploaded to the cloud for clinics and hospitals we are directly connected with, we cannot guarantee compatibility with CDs produced by other institutions.
Technical Analysis
Our team uses Orthanc, a specialized software for viewing and processing standard DICOM images. If a file cannot be read, it may be in a custom format that does not fully comply with the DICOM standard recognized by Medicai and Orthanc.
