How can I access scans shared by my clinic in Medicai?

Learn how to access medical files shared by your clinic in Medicai, either through email notification or by logging into your account.

If you already have a Medicai patient account and your clinic has shared medical files with you, follow these steps to access them quickly and securely.

Step 1: Open the Email Notification or Log into Your Medicai Account

Option 1: Open the email notification

Follow these step-by-step instructions to create your account directly from your email invitation.

  1. Check your inbox for an email from Medicai with the subject indicating a shared medical file.

  2. Click on "Open Investigation" to access your scan directly.

Option 2: Log in via the website

Follow this guide for detailed instructions on creating your account via the Medicai website.

  1. Go to medicai.io and click "Login".

  2. Enter your email and password, then click "Sign in".

Step 2: Find Your Shared Files

  1. If you logged in via the website, navigate to the "Shared with Me" section.

  2. Here, you will find the medical studies (MRI, CT, X-ray, or other scans) that your clinic has shared with you.

  3. Click on the study you want to view.

Step 3: View and Save Your Scan

  1. View your scan directly using Medicai’s built-in DICOM viewer without needing additional software.

  2. If you want to save your scan for future access, click "Save to My Files".

  3. Once saved, your scan will be available in the "My Files" section.

Step 4: Share Your Scan with a Doctor (Optional)

  1. Go to "My Files" and select the scan you want to share.

  2. Click "Share".

  3. Enter your doctor’s email address.

  4. If the doctor has a Medicai account, their profile will appear automatically. If not, they will receive an invitation to create a secure doctor account.

  5. (Optional) Add a message for your doctor
